What Makes This Awesome: If you have ever wanted to modify a pattern but too nervous to know where to start, then this is the mod for you. Jane started with a hat design she loved, and just added repeats of the chart, without any decreasing for the crown. Simple, but super effective- This cowl is stunning! Are there any hat patterns you know of that would be beautiful cowls? You should try this mod!

Very cute pattern....but...the original hat pattern is not available! Is there any way to download this pattern?
Hi Janet- not yet, the pattern is currently exclusive to the Year in Colour Club, but will be available to everyone in early 2014.
That's a clever idea! I knit a lot of cowls, but I hadn't thought about poaching hat patterns for new cowl designs.
