Modification Mondays: Consequence

Original Pattern: Perianth

Knitter Extraordinaire: Alice (Ravelry ID, blog)

Mods: Alice turned the lovely mitten pattern into a drop-dead cardigan with contrasting ribbing and cuffs. Project age can be found here.

What Makes This Awesome: Impressively, this is a mod-upon-a-mod, as Alice was originally inspired by this blanket, which was so popular that the designer has added it as a bonus to the mitten pattern when purchased. Building on the blanket idea, she transformed it into this beautiful cardigan. I love the solid sleeves, they are a great balance to the stranded flower design. The neckline is gorgeous, and  the extended cream coloured hem on the body and sleeves looks amazing. Every time I look at these photos, I'm in awe of this beautiful sweater.

I love this sweater! So very stunning and feminine and Scandinavian. The color combination is fabulous and the simplicity of the cream borders puts it over the top.

I love the different sizes and how the flowers contrast against the blue. Stunning!

Wow. I already knew the mittens and the blanket-version (in my queue for quiet a long time now). But this is stunning. I immediately bought the pattern :). Thanks for sharing!
