Modification Monday: Yoshino

Original Pattern: Oriental Lily

Knitter Extraordinaire: soknitpicky (Ravelry ID, blog)

Mods: Upsized the original baby and toddler sized pattern, added colourwork, a delicate trim, and a contrasting detail to the top. Project page with great details can be found here.

What Makes This Awesome: I love how soknitpicky's inspiration was imagining how to translate cherry blossoms into this dress for her daughter, and the result is stunning. The ratio of the colourwork to solid knit is great, and the modified seafoam trim underlines the nod to delicate cherry blossoms. I love the colour scheme, and the way the colourwork imitates the blossoms. What a knockout little dress!
