Modification Monday: Til lilleføykja Blanket
Original Pattern: Perianth
Knitter Extraordinaire: Ann (Ravelry ID, Blog)
Mods: Used the charted mitten design as a starting point for the baby blanket, knit in the round and steeked. Project page with lots of great photos can be found here.
What Makes This Awesome: The lovely design of the mittens is very pretty, but once Ann blew it up and did an entire blanket of it, I was blown away! The effect is like being in a snowstorm of flowers, and the contrasting border (check out the extra attention to detail of the yellow/green border she added on as well) is flawless. I'm totally in love with it!

Thank you for writing about my blanket. I am very happy about the end result though I will at a later time report on how it worked over time not using a fabric lining for the back side.
That pattern and blanket are absolutely stunning! Wonder if I can talk the DH into another baby so I can knit this.....? What the heck, maybe I'll just knit it for myself.
That is awe-freaking-some! Brilliant concept and masterful execution. Bravo!
This is amazing! Congratulations to Ann.
Wow! I love it!
AMAZIMG!!
Oh, I know. I adore this!
Gosh that's so lovely. I want it for ME!
This blanket is extraordinary! Colorwork knit flat, wowza!!
Wow, that pattern translates beautifully into a blanket!
I've never considered moving a fair aisle pattern like that from something small and moving it to a blanket. This was super smart! I love how it looks and you won't see that anywhere else! Excellent job.
