I'm so pleased with how this turned out! The cardigan is exactly how I envisioned, and I'm excited to wear it post-baby bump, too. Currently it's a wee bit tight on my arms, but that's due to baby weight gain (it better be, anyway), so I hope it comes off after the little one moves out of me and into the world.

These photos were taken the day before little Lila came into the world!

The back detail- as the tiny V shapes met at the back of the neck, I thought it would be nice to have a little french knot to finish off the details.

Answers to questions on the previous post:
1. The yarn is labelled DK, but there is no way it's DK- Its definitely an Aran weight. I think the contrast works really well with the fine gauge of the original cardigan.
2. I'm sorry, but I didn't do a video of how I sewed on the knitted trim.... :( It's not expertly done, I relaly just tacked it down and moved on to the embroidery. I'm not a perfectionist, so I just winged it.
3. You can check out the project page on Ravelry here!

i love this so hard- it's gorgeous and came out really well- way better than the anthro inspiration! your mods are encouraging me to be more liberal with the pieces of my wardrobe that don't work perfectly.

congrats on your baby girl- hopefully she'll enjoy the softness of your new cardi, too. :)

Love how the embroidery totally transformed this cardi and that the columns vary in height - OOAK and uber chic! Hope Baby Bliss is doing well:)

Gorgeous! Everything about it works so beautifully, and I just love the little collar details. The French knot is such a perfect touch.

And huge congratulations on the arrival of baby Lila! Such a beautiful name. Hope you're all doing well.

Your cardigan is a real show stopper. Amazing what a little (ok, a lot!) of embroidery can do to a simple camel cardi. Way to think outside the box! ps: You look so good pregnant!

I cannot believe how tiny your belly is!! (er... was)
Cardi is perfect, of course, and I love the photography, but really I am just stuck on your teeny belly! I looked at a picture of mine a few days before my son was born and um... yeah my belly was so large it didn't look real. Just shocked over here! Anyways, hope you (and she) are doing well ♥

I did not even realize that you were wearing it in a previous post! Beautiful! And I can't help to mention that I can't believe that you have a newborn and you are so present on the web! Looks like your little girl is a very good little girl! The pictures are very good! Your daughter will surely be a future knitter ;-)

It turned out so well! Most inspiring is the length it adds - I have a cardigan that could use a bit more length, so maybe I'll do something like this! Lovely work!

Congratulations too on the birth of Lila, what a lovely name.

Looks amazing! It never would have crossed my mind to even attemt, but now I am thinking it's worth holding on to an older blah cardigan.
