I knit a little bear hoodie for baby bliss. I tried for the 6 month size, when the fall will be coming:
I didn't have anything to model it on, other than a teddy bear someone as gifted us (for the baby). The bear is much too small for the hoodie, but you get the idea.
And check out these little daisy buttons! I love them. Found them on ebay.
There were some modifications: I felt that the sweater was a little too wide, I wish I had eliminated the casting on of the 4 additional stitches on each front. To compensate (after knitting it and not wanting to rip it all out) I seamed down the left and front edges to eliminate the extra 4 stitches on each side, and picked up the button bands as written from that section. For the hood, instead of garter edging I maintained ribbing; and did paired decreases on the hood (k2tog and ssk).
I loved the pattern, the buffet approach is a very clever way to totally customize the kind of sweater you want to make. You should see the zebra hoodie, I think that's next on my hoodie hit list! I love how the pattern comes with options for different types of ears, for all sorts of animal combos.
I deliberately knit this sweater in a gender neutral colour, because I was thinking that maybe this won't be my only baby (especially if my second pregnancy is as easy-breezy as this one has been), and if the second one is a boy, and I'm already busy with a toddler... I might not have time to knit as many wonderful little things for the 2nd baby. So I thought the bear cardigan could do double duty- if the second baby (years from now, let's not forget) is a boy, I can just take off the daisy buttons and put on some new buttons.
I'm also working on
Anouk as a Dress and a Sunnyside cardigan in that gorgeous Gold, in a bigger size for when she grows a bit. I actually got the daisy buttons to go with that cardigan, but considering there were 30 in the package, I'm well stocked.
See that awesome little fox pouch on the right? That is courtesy of Jacey, and her sewing wizardry! I keep my on-the-go knitting tools in there.

Aww it's so cute, love it!
These are too precious. I can't wait to see your little model in them!
Awww, baby clothes! And I love the idea of wee Wednesday.
I always meant to knit that Anouk dress. Maybe I should finally get to it.
Oh my goodness! Everything is beyond adorable!
So many cute things! (Colour me Scandinavian but I think that every colour is gender neutral!)
That hoodie is so cute -- looking forward to seeing other variations! And to seeing the others as FOs. Knitting as much as you can now is really smart -- I was crazy productive (knit 4 baby sweaters and a coat) in the months before Izzy arrived, and then woefully little in the months after.
These knits are amazing, as yours always are, but I can't help but notice the little sheep peeking through on the sheet... cute!
Okay that bear cardigan is ADORABLE, I love everything about it. And I think it's absolutely perfect for a girl, to boot.
I love that you are planning ahead for baby #2. ;) I agree; you should absolutely reuse that bear hoodie, because it is terribly cute! Ooh, and a zebra one? Yes, make it!
The little dress is darling, too. And I love the yellow sweater.
I'm glad you're enjoying your pouch, too!
Oh my goodness, that sweater is just too cute for words!
I love that sweater. Your babe will get lots of awwws when she is wearing it.
Anouk is also a good choice.
Oh my GOSH!!! I've been living under a rock for the better part of a year, and I missed your big news! CONGRATULATIONS!!! These little knits are so sweet! All the best for the rest of your pregnancy and the arrival of your little one!

The hoodie cardigan is truly delicious ... I love the two-tone, buttons, and adorable front design. I also love how you're thinking ahead about baby bliss #2. You're right, get your knitting in NOW! : )
This is all so cute! Love the little hoodie, buttons, dress, Sunnyside cardi! Aren't baby knits the sweetest?
Ack!!! So adorable!
How adorable! :)
A bear hoodie on a bear! Ridiculously cute!
You are really nesting Girl! I think you are about ready for this sweet little girl. She will be the best dressed wee one around. Can't wait for some pictures of her. Your knitting is fantastic!
Oh my goodness...that is so cute! I may have to give up knitting my toys for the next baby just to knit one of these!
How cool that you got a zippered pouch to hold your knitting notions in as well! Jacey is awesome!
So adorable. I love that yellow as well. And Jacey's a star! Love that little fox bag.
