Modification Monday: Rivendell Gloves

Original Pattern: #03 Marlene

Knitter Extraordinaire: Lisa (Ravelry Id, blog)

Mods: Turned the  amazing sock pattern into a stunning pair of gloves. Project page with details can be found here.

What Makes This Awesome: Okay, I'm the first to suggest that a sock pattern could easily be a fingerless mitt pattern and vice versa, but gloves! I love how she kept the stitch all the way through to the tips of the fingers, which really completes the look. I think these are  beautiful, elegant and sophisticated. Not a thing about these gloves seems out of place- it's like this design was always wanting to be turned into gloves. Just perfect!

I don't knit, but for this? I would take a 6week crashcourse to learn knitting!
Absolutely stunning.

Those gloves are amazing. I'm definitely adding these to my fav's, and queue on Ravelry. They are simply amazing.

I can't wait to find the perfect yarn to start these. Simply gorgeous. I love the grey you knit them in, looks lovely.

Wow!! I haven't been too thrilled by glove and mitten patterns, but these... They're works of art!

Wow, those are so, so, so pretty! And they look so elven (fitting for Rivendell gloves). The yarn choice is perfect, too! Just gorgeous.

I've been looking for a great glove design/pattern, and I think you just steered me toward the perfect one. I love its elegance and complexity. While I love the neutral tone that she chose, I can also imagine them in a midnight blue or cranberry red. <3

I LOVE Modification Monday. It is my favorite feature on a knitted blog EVER. And you are VERY consistant...I also noticed the dress on the faerie a few days ago. Is that from the Classic Elite yarns "Breast Cancer Awareness" Scarf? I have another modification on that pattern...I am using it to make a skirt. How do I submit it to you? Thanks again!!
