Modification Monday: Go for a Spin

Original Pattern: 28 Turquoise Lace Sweater

Knitter Extraordinaire: Kerstin (Ravelry ID, blog)

Mods: Transformed the summer knitted tee pattern into an exquisite tank top with beautiful straps and a crochet trim. Also adjusted gauge. For more details, please see her project page here.

What Makes This Awesome: I love it when people take a knitting pattern and change it for an entirely different season. It' so forward-thinking. I'm so impressed with Kerstin's simple yet detailed take on this. She knitted it in the round, and then used a gorgeously detailed crochet border to add detail, and her straps are so clever. It's details like that that make a garment look so, so professional. This is beautiful!!

This tank is so cute. I agree with you; it's impressive that she changed the seasonal aspect of the design.

So pretty! (and I'm not even really a knitted tank type of gal myself!)
