I'm back! G and I had an amazing time, first with family and friends in England (Bristol, Wells, and Brighton were the stops this time). My only disappointment is that I got fairly ill about 4 days into the trip, and stayed ill the rest of the time, including losing my voice for a few days. Nothing quite like waiting a decade to go to a country you've been dreaming about, only to spend every day pieced together by will power and cold medication. Oh well, it happens. Highlight photos from our trip:
England:
Split, Croatia:
Hvar, Croatia:
Dubrovnik, Croatia:
Hvar was definitely our favourite, it was a lusciously slow pace and I'm not sure if I've ever seen such turquoise water before- just gorgeous. I didn't visit any yarn shops, but I did do a lot of knitting. I even got some lovely FO shots for a new knit, which will be posted this week!

Whoa!
I am dying to go to Croatia. This post just confirms that. Amazing!
What gorgeous photos! (And I love your red stripey top.) I adore and miss the UK, but have never been to Croatia. Lovely!
Welcome home! For someone who fell ill during your trip, you look terrific in the photos. What a great adventure -- can't wait to see what you knitted along the way.
Yaaaaaay, and welcome back! :) Though it somehow feels 'wrong' to write 'welcome back' when you've actually just left where I am physically :D
:( Sorry to hear you were ill. There's nothing worse than being sick AND away from home.
Hope you still managed to have a good time.
Love that stripey top and your colourful skirt in Croatia!
Sorry to hear you were ill while you were away.
Your Croatia photos make me want to go back..... hubby and I went about 4 years ago, to Split and Dubrovik and I adored it.
Same, my husband and I went to Croatia three years ago and Hvar was just magical. the whole country was really interesting; certainly different from Western Europe and fascinating history.
Glad you enjoyed1
So beautiful! I'm sad to hear you weren't feeling well for a time.
Looking forward to the new FO shots!
I had to look up Hvar - Split and Dubrovniki I've been to already, but Hvar pictures make me want to visit it as well.
Sorry you were not well to enjoy it to the fullest, but by the pictures of beer glasses I can tell you were trying to. :)
Sorry you were sick, but you seemed to be doing ok in most of those photos (although, does one ever want to have a photo taken when they look as bad as they might feel?).
Croatia does indeed look excellent - I will file the info away for further use. :)
Wow, looks wonderful Julie :)
Isn't Croatia beautiful...?
I'm glad you had a great time but I'm sorry you were ill. Hope you?re better by now.
Hugs,
Kasia
Welcome back! Looks like you had a fabulous time...too bad about the illness!
Beautiful! What a total bummer that you got sick, though! At least that will power kicked in, right?!
Your pics are amazing. I'm bumping Croatia up on my list of places to go very soon.
Lovely photos!!
When I was in Italy, I came down with the flu 2 days into the 12 day trip...I've never felt so horrible. I'm glad you were still able to enjoy the trip! Croatia looks amazing!
Looks like you had a pretty good time (except for the cold)! You got to experience the sleezyjet :) they are pretty good as long as everything is on time...
It looks so lovely. Welcome back!
Being sick at home sucks...being sick on vacation you poor thing! You'd never know you didn't feel well you look so happy and pretty! Croatia looks breathtaking!
Your new sweater is gorgeous, but I also love your photos of your holiday. I went to Dubrovnik a few years ago and loved every moment of it! I hope you had a wonderful time there!
It looks like you had an amazing time despite not feeling great!
I am so jealous!! I've always wanted to go to Croatia! The photos look amazing.
