Modification Monday: Rose Red Jumper

Original Pattern: Snow White

Knitter Extraordinaire: Alana (Ravelry ID)

Mods: Changed the ribbing to a cabled stitch pattern, and knitted it top down. details can be found on the project page, here.

What Makes This Awesome: I love the cabled stitch she chose. The sweater still looks like the original pattern, but the cabled stitches add lot of texture and detail, and knitting it from the top down meant she could decide to cast off whenever she felt like she got the right length. Looks perfect!

Love both the original and mod ... and wonder why it hasn't made it to my queue yet.

Oh dear lord this may have to be my first "real" knit sweater! ( because I don't think dog sweaters or tube tops count!) I see this in a rich, dark royal blue for me! And I love that it's top down! Thank you for sharing!

I'm not a huge fan of the original design, but I really enjoy this modification. I think the cables she chose are absolutely perfect and not too overpowering. And that color is exquisite.
