FO- Bulky Mini Cardi

Friday night Jen and I were at The Purple Purl to help Glenna celebrate the completion of her Ph.D. And we knitted.... and knitted.... and I finally got some FO shots of the mini bulky cardigan, thanks to Jen. Pattern: Mini Bulky Cardigan Size: small, but an altered small- the small is a 38 bust, and I'm a 32. I came in under gauge, and followed pattern as normal. Yarn: Marisol Sulka, 4 skeins, colourway is black pepper Needle Sizes:9mm, 6.5 mm, 5 mm Mods: None, except that I didn't do the contrasting colour trim. Which I think is pretty obvious. Notes: I LOVE THIS YARN. I swear I'm a martini away from running off to Las Vegas and marrying it in an Elvis chapel. Here's a shot of the back, I love the decreases. Stephanie Japel is brilliant. And then the neckline. I really like the garter trim. I'm a bit late on Self Portrait Sunday, but I was a bit under the weather: As honest as it gets, really. I'm in bed, in a bathrobe. I forgot about the chicken pox scar on my forehead. I've had it since I was three years old, but it's been ages since I noticed it. And why yes, I do display my handbags as wall art. They are too pretty to be chucked in a drawer.

That mini cardi looks so nice, I definitely want one of my own. Glad to hear your modifications worked out, I was surprised to see small was only 38-inches.

Great to meet you both in person on Friday! Happy knitting.

I LOVE the mini cardi! Now I want one :)

You people in Toronto seem to have all the fun. I'm so glad I'm moving there this fall!

The mini bulky is gorgeous. I haven't purchased Shephanie's book yet, but think I might have to. The mini appears to be easy to lengthen by reversing those great decreases in the back and carrying on for a longer length - another look.

The cardi looks totally cute--great decreases on the back. I bet that yarn feels dreamy!

That mini cardi makes me want bulky yarn. Right. Now.
Needles would help too.

Very cool.

The cardi looks great and I'm tempted to copy! Although I suspect these bulky yarn knits look a heckuva lot better on willowy people like you!

Hey, I can see me in the picture at Purple Purl... When did you take that?

Super cute Cardi Jules. Love it. And loved that peanut brittle. I was going to marry that-- pee wee Herman style.

Must. Make. That. Cardi! Fantabulous.

That portrait gives me a hankering to make you soup - except that those bright eyes don't fit those of a sick person...but I'd make you soup anyway :)

I love that cardigan. I never liked the original; too bulky and weird, but I really like your version of it!

I wish we had the Purple Purl here. Or I was there. Knitting shops never have parties here...
