Pin Ups: My Favourite Things This Week

This savory feta cheese french toast looks amazing. I'm loving the creative interpretations on french toast recently - check out last week's Pin Ups post for a french toast roll up

I love this driftwood hanger idea, and you could paint it any colour(s) you wanted.

This delicious homemade molasses syrup is your new beverage buddy- its' great in coffee, tea, and cocktails. Trust me, you need this in your life. Not only is it super easy to put together, but it would make a great DIY hostess gift, too.

How to dye yarn for a long gradient effect - with kool-aid!. I have yet to try dying yarn, but the dip dye ombre trend for knits is just heating up, and this looks right on trend.

Is it dessert? Is it breakfast? It's a chocolate amaretto crepe cake, and I won't judge you if you eat it for breakfast. Hey, it's high in protein!

mmm, that French toast sounds really good, not to mention the crepe cake! And I love the rustic coat hook.

Thanks for including my molasses syrup. We wanted a bit of dessert last night so I pulled something together with what we had in the house. I heated up some peaches that I had frozen during the summer and served them with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of the syrup. It was so so good. Nick was telling me between bites, to please keep on making the stuff!

The spiced molasses looks like its right up my alley! And that Crepe Cake? A bit of work but totally worth it! I tried it last year (twice) and loved every bit of it!

I love the different versions of French toast! I'll try mine with goat cheese and almond milk.
The yarn dyeing...it is a great technique and it does work well. I'd be weary of putting the ball of yarn directly under running water as she does...the risk of felting it is too great. Especially since I believe that she is using untreated wool. It would be better to let it soak in a sink full of water the same temperature as what the ball of yarn was just sitting in so not to shock the yarn and felt it. But the end result in her shawl does look great! Worth a try for sure!
