2013 was a strange year for me, with lots of adjustments. I went back to work after my maternity leave in March, adjusted to working full time with Lila going to daycare, and trying to fit in knitting time and designing time in and around work and my little family. We went to Bristol, London, and Paris. And last but not least, I published a book of poetry, something I've always wanted to do. But yet I don't feel like I really lived up to my potential in 2013, you know what I mean? So I'm going to lean a little heavier on the throttle in 2014. I think I've got it in me to push a little harder.
So, my knitting goals for 2014? I'm going to try to do another 6 designs, including a sweater of some kind. And I'd like to get 20 FOs in 2014. And also, I want to revamp the blog a bit- I think it's time for a refresh. That's what the new year is all about, right? How about you- do you have any knititng related goals for 2014?

Lots of lovely project! Will you be publishing your Mittens/headband pattern for those of us not in the club last year?
Many thanks for sharing your designs and inspirations with us and all the best for the new year!
Even though you don't feel as accomplished as you would have liked, seeing all your beautiful projects is so inspiring! I'm going to keep my goals compact for 2014 in the hopes that I can be super focused! Good luck to both of us!!
Beautiful projects! I can't choose a fav, and I do believe I may be adding some of those to my queue :).
Happy new year!!
I have so enjoyed your blog this year! I think you are being too hard on yourself. That sweet little Lila takes a lot of time and energy and it is all well spent! She will be grown and gone from home in two blinks of your eye, even though it doesn't seem like it now. While revamping your blog, please continue your Modification Mondays! You have posted some things that have been so inspiring to me.
i would say you did really well this year. Having a little mobile one takes up so much more time than we often think but those moments are so important.
I loved several of your designs for TFA YICC13 and hope to knit my own aerie scarf, quite possibly in the boysenberry colourway this way. Just love it!
I've been reading your blog recently and I really like what I've seen. And I know what you mean when you say you feel like you have more potential. I feel the same right now and am in the process of applying to grad school. Anyway hi! Happy New Year!
You have done great this year! And I am su what your learnt in 2013 and finding a balanced life will help you in 2014. Happy new year! Cannot wait to see the new designs!
It seems to me that you have accomplished a lot! Though, I do understand how you feel--I wish I was able to accomplish more, too. :)
You've done some terrific work, so perhaps the quality makes up for (your perceived) lack of quantity? I'll second the vote for continuing Modification Mondays -- I find that feature fascinating! And thanks for hedgie scarf chart; Mrs. Tiggywinkle has always been my favorite Bea Potter character.
You're kind of a rockstar and I'm jealous that you look as fabulous as you do! Also, love the hedgies!
