Modification Monday: Modified Gemini
Original Pattern: Gemini
Knitter Extraordinaire: Tanis (Ravely ID, blog)
Mods: Added sleeves, and changed the mesh lace neckline from front to back, and alternated skeins to use a beautifully bright and varied hand dyed yarn. More information on her project page here.
What Makes This Awesome: Gemini is already a great pattern that lends itself well to mods, But I love this reversed, back-to-front take with the 3/4 sleeves.Apparently this was a bit of a happy accident, as reversing it was a product of a slightly more visible line down the centre where the skeins were alternated, and Tanis decide to make that the back. It turned out great- I love the mesh detail at the front of the neckline! Looks casual, cool, and utterly amazing.

It looks so nice! The Tanis touch! ;-)
It looks GREAT, and I've bookmarked it and ordered a variegated yarn to make one with the same mods!
Bookmarked! :) Really like this, and hope to have some time to make this for myself soon <3
