Modification Monday: Autumn Rose

The winner of the Knit Notes giveaway is..... Cassy!  Congratulations!

Original Pattern: Autumn Rose Pullover

Knitter Extraordinaire: Glenna (Ravelry ID, Blog)

Mods:  Customized the entire fit by creating a schematic based on her own measurements and gauge swatch. This included raising the neckline, adjusting the length, adjusted the shoulder decreases/armhole depth.

What Makes This Awesome: Glenna is also a pattern designer, and has a great understanding about what makes the difference between a great fitting sweater and a disappointing one. Her very helpful notes remind us that knitting a garment gives us the freedom to completely customize for a fit better than anything you can get off the rack. With a good schematic and a blocked gauge swatch, you can create a sweater that is perfection. The great fit speaks for itself- when was the last time you saw a sweater this beautiful?!

this has always been one of my very favorite stranded colorwork designs, and this is such a beautiful version of it!
