Wee Wednesday: Anouk Dress, Take Two

Waaaaay back when Lila was 3.5 months, she rocked her Anouk dress for the first time. Now at one year old, Lila can still wear her Anouk dress, but more as a tunic than a full-on dress:

I really like that about knitted dresses for babies. They often outgrow the length much faster than the circumference, but add some leggings and - presto!- it's a cute tunic. Can't beat that. This dress is particularly good for that, since the wide, apron-like shaping of the top gives a lit of wiggle room on fit.

And oh, look- she's rocking her sparkly chuck taylors! These were the birthday shoes we didn't quite manage to get photos of at the time. We put them on her a lot, and she gets compliments on her fab shoes wherever she goes.
So. Much. Drool. Also- Chair pushing is the most fun ever.

Over at the Jordana Paige blog, there was a recent post with interviews on craft bloggers who are moms, and how they make time for it all. I was one of the moms featured! Check it out here

P.S. I loved reading your interview! It's SO great to read about other crafting moms' experiences...reminds me that I'm not alone in all of this!

Love it!! Did she by any chance wear this at the Frolic? I swear I saw a man carrying a little girl wearing this dress and thought it might have been Guy and Lila.

Christina, yes, she was! These photos were taken the same day. We went for ice cream afterwards, they were taken at the ice cream parlour.

I love this dress as a tunic, and the shoes are adorable for sure. I would definitely stop and compliment you on your fab baby shoes if I saw this little cherub out and about!

She is so fabulous! I love cute baby knits and their adorable embellishments. I may also be having some shoe envy >.< I try to remind myself that I'm a big person and I don't need sparkly pink Chucks, but I'm still feeling desperately envious.

Love it! I agree--dresses/tunics are awesome for baby girls. Z gets more use out of her Little Sister's Dress than any other garment. Those Chucks are so cute!

She still looks lovely! If you hadn't said that it used to be a dress, I wouldn't tell. Such a pity my nieces are much older ;)

Oh my goodness ... So cute! The dress/tunic is really nice and those shoes put this right into the 'makes my day to see it' range.

thanks so much for the link to the interviews! they were all really interesting, esp. on the cusp of becoming a mother myself. I'd like to take a look at the book you mentioned, since there are definitely times I already feel like there aren't enough hours in a day! And my sister & I also love cadbury mini eggs, so much so that we say the candy shell is spiked with crack. ;) Sadly they're not available where I live (Spain).

Oh goodness I love those precious little shoes. And thank goodness for patterns and clothes in general that you can use more than once when they are outgrown!
