Modification Monday: Swirl Dress

Original Pattern: Swirl Pullover

Knitter Extraordinaire: Corinne (Ravelry ID)

Mods: Changed the oversized, long-sleeved pullover into a form fitting,  summery sleeveless dress. She even over dyed the yarn! Project page can be found here.

What Makes This Awesome: I love how Corinne took the really show stopping element from the original design- that gorgeous swirl- and incorporated it into a knit she wanted to make, which was a summery dress. I love how modern and fresh it looks, and is a great example of a pretty knit for hot weather. Corinne also didn't like the yarn she had bought- she didn't love the original colour (see photo below), so she bought some dark brown dye and over-dyed the finished knit (see top photo). I love that idea- suddenly all the yarn in your stash has renewed possibilities. I'd love to knit a dress as pretty as this!

Very nice and sexy, I would totally wear that and I usually don't like knitted dresses.

I've seen SO many pretty knit dresses lately, and this one takes the cake! The overdyed color is AWESOME. The brown over peach creates so much depth!

I wish I had the patience to do something like this, it's such a big progress. Bravo to Corinne for doing this. Absolutely Amazing!

Wow, that's beautiful. It wouldn't quite look the same on me, but it is gorgeous.
