Sneak Peek: Lilacs for Lila

The yarn is Tanis Fiber Arts Yellow Label DK in 'Lilac'

Just before Easter, I decide to knit a little lilac-coloured bonnet for my wee one. Coincidentally, my mom bought her a lilac-coloured Easter outfit. Between Guy and I, we must have taken a hundred photos of Lila in her bonnet  but she was so quick that a lot of the best shots were a bit blurry. This was Guy's favourite of the bunch, although it's really a photo of me (my hair is tied back, I didn't get it cut) I've finished up the pattern, and just need to sort out some test knitting and then the pattern will go live! I think this will be a freebie, it's just an easy and fast little bonnet.

What a great photo. The bonnet turned out so nicely. Such a gorgeous colour. Neat that she was given an outfit to match. xo

Oh my goodness, what a cutie! Your daughter is adorable. My daughter developed her own tastes at age 3 and I haven't been able to dress her since, but I sure loved things like this when she was little.

Absolutely adorable! I love the simple elegance of the pattern.

I know all about trying to take pictures of little ones, I am lucky if I get them in the same frame, nevermind in focus.

oh and if you are ever looking for a test knitter :)

This is an absolutely delightful photo of you both, I can understand why it is Guy's favourite. The little bonnet is a delight, the colour is lovely and it goes with her outfit perfectly. What a joy she is for you both. Lila has been very much in my thoughts. Hugs from New Zealand

How cute! How cute baby, how cute bonnet! I love bonnets on babies and what's more, as my babe has some (I mean bonnets) I found them really really practical. Especially if you wrap your baby in a wrap or meitai.
Anyway, I am sure I will knit it, so if you still need a testknitter........
:)
