Mods: Changed the gauge from worsted to fingering weight, added ribbing to the sides of body and sleeves, and created a wide v-neckline. Also skipped the tassled hem. Project page can be found here.
What Makes This Awesome: The original sweater is lovely, but there were details that were beginning to look dated. I love how Molly modernized the whole pattern- the use of ribbing for the side panels and sleeves was a great way to nip in the fit as well as provide a canvas to add shaping (cables aren't known for their waist shaping abilities, that's for sure!). This looks like it was a lot of work, but was well worth it. The finished sweater is a chic and modern cabled glory!

That's fantastic. I have never wanted to knit Alice Starmore sweaters just because there is so little shaping to them, but this makes me want to sit down and figure out how to adjust them. Stunning sweater!
