Wee Wednesday: The End is Nigh

We're in the final stage of my pregnancy, and I finally decided to stop being so lazy about taking some more bump photos! I can't believe she is going to be here so soon. There's still so much baby knitting I'd like to get done first! I guess we'll see how far along I get with it all before she makes her debut.

DSC_2004

This is my favourite of the shots, which were taken while doing FO shots of the Upcycled Cardi, which I'll post about REALLY soon!

These two hats are pretty much the cutest things I think I've ever knit:

Newborn Bunny Hat (Ravelled here)

Bunny hat 1

Newborn Kitten Hat (Ravelled here)

Cat Hat

I'm hoping I made them small enough to fit a newborn, I love the idea of her wearing them during the first couple of weeks out in the world. The Newborn Kitten Hat is a much-modified version of the bunny hat- Maybe I should have saved it for a Mod Monday post?!

OMG they are super cute! I really want to get some maternity photos taken but I am finding it hard to find a photographer on the Gold Coast whose style I like. They all seem obsessed with the naked belly shots with fabric draped around you which I'm not keen on. I would just like some normal photos in nice clothes in a pretty setting. The search continues!

Can't wait to see more of these projects.

Oh Julie...thanks for sharing! I love your bump photo in your upcycled cardi. You look amazing. I am excited for your little one to make her debut. How exciting for you and G.

You look more beautiful than ever! Even if those adorable hats are a little too big you HAVE to put them on her. And remember, while you will be tired, there will be many hours when she's sleeping and you'll have time to knit an inch or two on more baby goodies.

Hello Julie,
oh how sweet is that cat hat! If I will some day have a child by my own, I must make one, too!
And the photos of you on your Flickr stream are so beautiful.
Best wishes for the last weeks of your pregnancy! You'll be a great Mum.

Just wanted to offer an idea I wish someone had told me about bump documentation:
If possible, take some bump profile pics right before you leave for the hospital/birthing center/wherever. The hugeness of the bump is fleeting... Almost as fleeting as the adorable, just born, wrinkled baby face. Document what you can. And best wishes for the home stretch.
