A Very Special Announcement

Whew! The move has been a lot of work, and has led to G and I having lots of conversations about where to put things, configure the furniture, buying new furniture, etc. So many decisions!

I thought since I had some big news to share, it would be nice to share it on a video. The new place is totally not unpacked, so trust me- I'll get some better backgrounds soon. In the mean time:

Sorry to end it with such an obvious boob shot, I'll learn to walk around the camera next time.

Oh my! CONGRATULATIONS! That's what was behind all those baby item faving and queueing up on Ravelry. :) I'm very very excited for you guys. Babies are fun! And they're the biggest joy in one's life. My daughter greets me each morning with the biggest smile. This feeling - it's priceless.
Enjoy your pregnancy. Are you craving for some crazy things?

Congratulations Julie! So exciting. :D And how fortunate not to have had morning sickness.

I'd been wondering about it too - but that's also probably because I'm a little bit obsessed with babies ATM. ;)

Enjoy this very special time!

Congratulations, Julie! (I'm a frequent reader de-lurking finally, to say that:-))

May the whole pregnancy go smoothly for you! I am looking forward to seeing what you will be knitting in the coming months.

And good luck with finishing up the unpacking. We moved this summer and I'm sad to say there is still one last box that I'm not able to unpack. I'm glad I've gotten it down to that last one, but I look into it and I have no idea what to do with the stuff or where it could go... So I put a nice colorful tapestry on top of it and now it pretends to be a table ;-)

Congratulations!! I've secretly been waiting for this, wondering if you and G would start a family, and when. I'd think "Hmm..." every time you would add a baby knit or toy to your queue on Ravelry. I hope you'll love being a mommy as much as I do! I can't wait for the parade of baby knits. And I have a request. Will you give us occasional updates of your baby bump? Maybe once a month? :)

Congratulations! It seems like everyone is getting pregnant lately, in real life and in the blogosphere...
I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly and you have lots of fun watching your belly jump! (just wait til you get to use your own belly for a table- it's awesome!)
you're really lucky the nausea bypassed you! i stayed nauseous for 8 months and it came back to me during delivery!

I can't wait to see baby knits, AND your belly when it actually looks like there's a baby in it. hahah

Congratulations! And by the way, totally jealous of your non-morning sickness. I'd definitely recommend that route, it's waaay preferable to other. April is a fantastic birthday month (I can speak personally to that), you'll also get to escape being hugely pregnant in the height of summer. All the best to you & G in your new home with your new addition.

Congrats! I love to look in Rav at "friend activity" for inspiration, I noticed all the baby patterns. My sis has a one year old and it has been so much fun knitting for her. For patterns, I suggest the baby suprise jacket (of course) and kanoko pants. I always wanted to knit the monster butt pants but I didn't get around to it in time.

Lindsey said...

Congratulations on your news! I've been knitting many baby gifts for friends and family. I'm knitting a pattern called "Baby Sophisticate" by Linden Heflin presently, and it is a pleasure to knit. It's just a smart, fun, and adorable baby cardigan. I highly recommend it!

Congratulations to you both! How exciting for you, and of course we knitters and blog readers are excited for you, too. I enjoyed your videoed blog post (you're funny!) and hope you do more of them.

Congratulations! I am sitting here snatching a few mins on the PC while our 3.5 week old snoozes so I feel that I can say that it's both a fun time for you and G plus it is also quite the ride (pregnancy, delivery and the first weeks at home)!

If you get to sleep at all during your pregnancy while your baby dances on your bladder, you are more lucky than me (so don't worry about those who tell you to sleep while you can if you cannot - you are not alone) and the only advice that I can give you about those first weeks at home?

Freeze down some easy to prepare (and eat one handed) meals - at least 2 weeks worth - for when you are home from the hospital. And round up as much help as you can as support when you get home. My parents arrive from the UK today and I could not be more relieved! Gx
