Coastal Knits Winner! And Leaving on a Jet Plane...

Congratulations to Malin (from Sweden) the winner of the Coastal Knits giveaway! The random number generator selected comment 21, which was her comment- she chose the Rustling Leave Beret as her top choice for a pattern to knit from the book. Thanks to everyone for participating!!

I'll be jetting off to Bristol, England for a short family visit, but in the mean time, here is an update on the baby blanket, which I've started to call the rainbow blanket for fairly obvious reasons:

G really likes the 'wrong side', in particular:

I decided to stick with the green, and instead of mirroring the colour repeats (as the original pattern calls for), I just did a straight up repeat every 54 colours. The more colour repeats I knit, the happier I am with it.

Have fun in Bristol! My sister in law lives in that area. You should let me know if you are ever in Yorkshire, I think it would be funny for two Canadian knitters to meet up for tea in England :)

Well done Malin! And I love the stitches used for the blanket. If I did not know how impatient I was, I would be tempted to knit one for one of my friend who is also pregnant... You may get a chance to knit on the plane though? Have fun in Bristol!!
