FO: Handspun Toasties

DSC_1360

Pattern: Toasty

Yarn: Pidgeonroof Studios roving, handspun by Tanis

Needles: 5 mm dpns

Notes: I. Love. These. Mitts.

They are buttery soft, toasty warm (true to their name!), and pure bliss to wear. I was originally thinking of a cowl when I saw the skein of handspun, but then I couldn't bear to knit it up into something I'd never be able to see while I was wearing it.

But I look at my hands. Actually, I look at my hands a lot.

And these are pretty awesome to look at.

Look at those lovely hands!

Y'know, there are so many popular patterns that I want to knit, but have never gotten around to it (like Toast and Felicity). This is such a great use of handspun yarn...love them!

And Pigeonroof has some beautiful yarns on their etsy. Hmm...maybe I need a Felicity afterall?

How can you possible want to take these off? They're so lovely and a terrific color.

I love the colors in that handspun. And the mitts look super cozy. I've always wanted to knit some for myself but I'm not sure why I never do.

Absolutely beautiful! Might have to consider this pattern for myself. :-)

What beautiful "clothes" for hands which knit so wonderful things! I already saw the photos on ravelry. Love these mitts. And the photos are great - as they always are. A real pleasure!

So pretty! And a good point about knitting for your hands.
And, as a side note: I am consistently stunned by the loveliness of your photos and artistic arrangement of them on your bloggy. Fantastic, as always!

Oooh, love! I have a few skeins of gifted handspun that I've been hoarding. Maybe I need a pair of Toast mitts for the winter! Yours are beautiful.

I'd want to look at and touch those all the time, too. If you ever get tired of them... ;-)

Such a perfect palette of greens! This is an inspired showcasing of a handspun :)

I've made "Toast", too, but they weren't nearly as pretty as yours! And I like that you made them so long.

They are indeed beautiful! They go very well with flowers although I doubt you are really wearing them for gardening ;-)

These look gorgeous. I won a pair of Leslie's toadflax that another girl knit and gave away, they are the ones with no thumb, i wear them every Fall. I think I'd like to knit these ones

Gorgeous! What a great idea to knit armwarmers so you can see the pretty yarn when you're wearing them. *love*

These are beautiful! Love that handspun. I made a pair of Toast armwarmers a while back, it's surprising just how toasty warm they make you feel!

Oh Julie these are so pretty, I too adore this pattern. Knitting them in handspun makes them extra special, there is a lot of love behind the yarn :)
I must spin some to make a pair just like yours - inspired !
