Modification Monday: Modified Sprite Hat
Original Pattern: Spritely Hat
Knitter Extraordinaire: Sarah (Ravelry ID, Blog)
Mods: Altered the sizing of the adult sized hat by adding half an extra stitch repeat, and eliminated the leaves on the top. More info can be found on her project page, here.
What Makes This Awesome: I should offer a disclaimer about how much I love Sarah's blog and designs, she really is awesome in my books. So I'm a little surprised it took me this long to find this super pretty hat modification in her projects! I love how Sarah's take on the pattern has yielded a beautiful, unfussy hat that looks perfect for when the days get chilly. Eliminating the decorative leaves on top made it look more grown up, and I think her yarn choice was spot on brilliant- who wouldn't love a cashmere cap like this?!

This hat looks oh so pretty. Just amazing. Will have a look at her blog right now. :-)
So pretty. I think I'm going to have to make one (or two) for myself come winter.
It's such a lush looking hat. I love the yarn, and the softness of it.
Oh, the person before me stole the words out of my mouth! Definitely a lush, beautiful hat.
What a perfect hat ... shouldn't we all have cashmere toppers in our wardrobes? I say yes!
Very pretty - love the colour
Perfect, now I know what to do with the black yars I have allocated to a lacy hat. Thanks.
ooo, cool! I'm off to check out her blog directly!
