The Seven Days of Hot Chocolate- Coming Very Soon

I've been percolating an idea in the back of my brain since December- creating 7 different, new hot chocolate recipes to help celebrate this chilly season.

But I swear, something must've been in the water (or the milk in this case!), because since I started working on it, I've seen recipes coming out in the new issue of Martha Stewart, saw a Nutella version on Pinterest.... another on Tastologie.... and there are probably more hiding out there in the great wide interweb! But hey, better late to the party than a no-show. Starting February 1st, I'll be posting a new hot chocolate recipe that I've concocted every day, for seven days. This means that there will be a slight break in Modification Monday (still posting for January 31st, but we'll be skipping February 7th).

The recipes are meant to be shared, so you'll find them all making enough for 2 large mugfuls of chocolatey goodness, or three smaller ones. I hope you'll find at least a couple recipes you will want to make!!

ironically, just last night I almost finally figured out how to make a good lactose-intolerant hot chocolate. I drink almond milk which is yummy, and I've made it before with hot chocolate - too thick and sweet. But about 1/3 water, two spoons of hot chocolate mix, and the rest almond milk is perfect! looking forward to your recipes.

Mugs are awesome! And hot chocolate for me is one of the greatest things ever, especially in those cold winters evenings, so I'm waiting! Cheers!

Augh, but I'm giving up chocolate for the month of February! (in solidarity with my fiance who is giving up cheese. Long story.) I'll just have to file these away until March...

Love the mugs, by the way.

Then I think your readers should have to make hot chocolate for seven days. Good thing I bought more rice milk today, as I tend to like that better than real milk. :)

I'm a huge fan of hot chocolate, so I'll definitely be coming back to snatch these recipes! :)

I read this yesterday morning, then soon after, we walked into a bookshop and my 13 y.o daughter says, "buy me one of these mugs! " and had one just like your pic in her hand-what are the odds! I didn't get her one, but it's her birthday at the end of Feb, so I may get her one and I can pop your hot choc recipes in the mug! Big hot chocolate lover - even in the middle of a hot Aussie summer!

Oh, the mugs, the mugs! I want them!

Hot chocolate sounds like a great idea, too. I like mine with chipotle pepper and cinnamon.
