A Quick Update

The Brooklyn General Store Squirrel contest results are in- you should see the many adorable winners! Maple didn't take away any top honours, but I'm sure she was just happy to have a little fun with all the other squirrels over at Brooklyn General. If you happen to be in the area, the squirrels are still on display until mid-June.

My dears, I must apologize. I'm woefully behind on my blogging. I have some new FOs, and new WIPs, and oddly no photos of any of these things. I'm anxiously awaiting the long weekend- I want to garden, picnic, and take hundreds of photos. It's funny how the internet has transformed how we document our lives- indeed, made documenting our lives important to just about everyone with a high speed internet connection-and I want to indulge in all that shameless, photo-heavy joy. I also want to drink gin & tonic in the sunshine, and eat lots of cupcakes (have you seen this link?!), and lemon tarts.

Oh, and if any of you are hosting a brunch or just would like a special breakfast this coming weekend, I highly recommend this recipe. I made it for my parents recently and it was a hit. Baking eggs in bread bowls is easy-peasy, but looks impressive.

Can't wait to see all your goodies. While your squirrel may not have won, it was still *very* cute!

Thanks for the link for the eggs. That looks like something even I can do!

You're right - that does look impressive. And Mmm...gin and tonics + sunshine = heaven. Throw some cupcakes in there and I can probably die happy.

I really like this link - The cupcakes look amazing, but not like they weren't homemade, you know? And recipes - lots and lots of recipes. I definitely need more filled cupcakes in my life.

omg - cupcakes 24 and 27 are first on my list to try - thanks so much for sharing! I've also got some nearly finished projects to photograph but am soooo procrastinating weaving in ends and sewing on monkey faces...Happy G&T weekend :)

I'm one of those girls that could eat breakfast for every meal so the eggs in a bread bowl are right up my alley.

I am way behind on my posting too. I definitely need to catch up!

Thank you so much for the delicious links! That bread bowl thing looks AMAZING and OMG THE CUPCAKES!! I have a friend's bridal shower coming up, and I think I am going to print out a bunch of those and put them on fancy card stock as part of her gift. And also make some of them this weekend. :)
