Have you tried the vodka pie crust recipe from Cook's Illustrated?I tried that recently for an apple pie. I added too much vodka, though, and couldn't make a nice lattice on top b/c my dough kept falling apart.http://www.chow.com/grinder/tag/pie+crust

Oh, YUM. I have some filo pastry to use up now, and also serious sweet food cravings after all of the healthy savoury food I've been eating. I think I may have to make an apple pie (the easy way though, with filo, although I love homemade pastry)
